Pasalubong Shops

I would definitely recommend our very own A11 Artellano and The Honest Henry where you could purchase proudly Filipino made products. My hotel in Pasay is also near MOA (SM Mall of Asia) where there is also a big “pasalubong” shop called “Kultura”.

Nearest Restaurants

 If you’re in the mood to eat out, I have some restaurants and cafes in mind I’d like you to try. Some are within the Aseana City Complex which is just a 5-minute drive from my place. Here’s a few of my favorites in the area:

Japanese Restaurants

If you’re into Japanese, Ramen Nagi, Mendokoro Ramenba, Yakumi, and Yabu are among my tested recommendations.

Filipino Restaurants

Have a very Filipino dining experience at The Singing Cooks &Waiters, Crisostomo, Abe, Toyo Eatery and Islas Pinas.

American Restaurants

Aside from our very own Apartment 1B, I would also suggest that you try Racks, Outback Steakhouse, and TGI Friday’s for your American food fix.

Chinese Restaurants

For Chinese food, Lugang Café, Super Bowl of China, Tim Ho Wan, and Mann Hann are my go-to restaurants.

Korean Restaurants

Craving for some Korean food? Try Song Do Won, Bulgogi Brothers, and 678 Korean BBQ Restaurant.

Italian Restaurants

La Piazza in Okada Manila, Rossini Ristorante Italiano in S Maison Mall, and Parmigiano in New Port City Mall are what I can recommend for those wanting some Italian dishes.

Buffet Restaurants

Test your tummy’s limits at several buffet restaurants. I personally recommend Buffet101 in SM by The Bay MOA and Vikings at By the Bay Seaside Boulevard.

Nearest Bars

Apartment 1B has a selection of alcoholic and non – alcoholic drinks you can 

choose from.

Other bar options located in Makati City are: The Curator Coffee and Cocktails in Palanca Street ; Black Market and Finders Keepers along Pasong Tamo/Don Chino Roces Avenue.

Bar options located in BGC, Taguig City are: Valkyrie Night Club, The Island, and Revel Luxury Club all located at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City; The Brewery at The Palace.

Tourist Attractions

The tourist attractions here in Manila are the Old Manila Walled City also known as Intramuros, meaning “within the walls”. This is approximately 20 to 30 minutes from The Henry Hotel Manila. Another place to consider visiting is Lakbay Museo featuring an interactive museum that takes you to 11 different destinations around the Philippines- from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Dig deeper into our culture and heritage by exploring galleries and museums nearby. We recommend The National Museum,  The Metropolitan Museum of Manila, Museum of the Filipino People near Rizal Park, Chinatown Museum in Binondo which is also perfect for doing food trip and all these museums, gardens and churches within the Intramuros, The Walled City – Baluarte de San Diego, Bahay Tsinoy,  Casa Manila, Destileria Limtuaco Museum, Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church & Museum and Bagumbayan Light & Sound Museum.

Nearest Catholic Church

The front office can book you to Our Lady of Sorrows approximately 1.2km away from The Henry Hotel. Other options include the famous National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help and Baclaran Church, which is 2.6 km via Roxas Blvd.

If you want to go by walking distance Daughters of Saint Paul is just at the right side of the hotel upon exit. And San Rafael Church located at Park Ave less than 10 mins from The Henry Hotel Manila in Pasay.
